Apparantly the moment it hits the patching at 89.3% or so percent GOG GALAXY crashes. Interestingly enough, it seems aborting the automatic update of Sheltered 2 and aborting the update immideatly did.
#Gog galaxy update problem install#
(It is the one that also does not allow to update to current version, keeps trying and fails all the time, at least for me.)Īlso the clean install did not solve my problem with the constant crashes. I think many folks who have the issue with Galaxy are having it because there are 2 different download versions, and the one causing issues is the one available at the gog.com site. Make sure that you have auto-update enabled in GOG Galaxy (click on GOG.com icon in GOG Galaxy > choose Settings > Features > mark Auto-update games). The download link within this thread however dl-s a file called setup_galaxy_2.0.60.2 (which is 262 Mb, and requires a bit shy of 500 Mb i think it is 496 or so Mb-s.) How does the GoG Galaxy Client Update I can't find any option to run an update manually but it also does not seem to update itself automatically. The download button on the main page will just dl a file called GOG_Galaxy_2.0 (which is only 960 kb and requires 562 or so Mb for Galaxy). The download button on the main page does not lead to the same download link as the download link in post 9. (Or until i noticed it i just searched for Gog Galaxy Download link which pretty much gave a similar find.) Existing mods will not be compatible with the release version of Baldur’s Gate 3, and will cause issues or break the game in unpredictable ways. I used the Download for GOG Galaxy for Windows button. When installing, you may need to shut down and restart GOG GALAXY first. I had a bit of time to look around the forums, and i managed to discover what was for ME the issue. So i did a few reinstalls(clean) in the past few days, and did not work. If you really do have a version older than 2.0.60.2 installed, scroll up to post 9 and do a clean install as described in the second half. Look at the version number in the bottom left corner of the window.
